I have received quite a few questions on the new computer system build that I’ve posted on Instagram (shown above). I figured it was easier to create a single post that I can point everyone to instead of sending the full list for each question.
Before I list out the components I want to thank my good friend Chase Baker. Chase put together the full list for me, ensured that the components were compatible with each other and helped me via text messaged anytime I ran into bugs.
This is a system that can be used for gaming, however I’m not a gamer so I’m using it as the devCamp live streaming server at our new Scottsdale office.
And for anyone curious as to why I would build a Windows based machine, it’s because the Livestream Studio software requires it. And don’t worry, I already installed Linux on it for real work…
“And don’t worry, I already installed Linux on it for real work…” I couldn’t have said that better! Hopefully Windows 10 won’t fail, otherwise you will have to reinstall Linux as well. It is always my fear when having a dual boot, but it didn’t happen yet on my system. I am crossing my fingers!
